The Manning Valley Historical Society

The Taree Ferry approaches the bottom of Pulteney Street in this very early photograph of the Manning River.  The huge Moreton Bay fig tree near the R. S. L. was just a small tree then.  Another big fig tree, that was later removed, is on the other side of the street.

The old milk factory at Purfleet, now called Glenthorne, is clearly visible.
